If you watch only one report or read one article in connection with the fifth anniversary of the war, make it this 4 1/2 -hour film from Frontline. Bush’s War will make you among the best informed as to how America came to find itself in the conflict and why so many things went so wrong on the ground in Iraq. This two-part special series tells the epic story of how the Iraq War began and how it has been fought. Both on the ground and deep inside the government. If you are able to watch online, the Frontline website has over 400 extended interviews which go into further detail on how this war has played out. A very interesting doc.

The Eames lounge chair and ottoman is the culmination of Charles and Ray Eames’ efforts to create comfortable and handsome lounge seating by using production techniques that combine technology and handcraftsmanship. Designed in 1956, and way ahead of its time, the Eames chair is still a beautiful piece of furniture. I hope one day I can add this to my collection, but at prices starting at $3,500 it may take a while.

By far my favorite album of 2007, Wilco’s Sky Blue Sky is one of those instant classics that you can listen to over and over again. For those unfamiliar with the album, you may have already heard some of their songs in the Volkswagon commercials. My stand out tracks are Sky Blue Sky and What Light (sounds very Tom Petty like).

For those who drink a lot of tea, the tea bag is sort of a hassle. It drips, it rips and seems to always get in the way when you’re drinking your tea (I like to leave the bag in). Well, this new device, the Tea Stick, allows you to scoop and stir your favorite tea as needed. Although it looks a like a one-hitter for the pot smokers, this spring loaded device allows for one perfect scoop of tea without the mess of bags or screens. Makes a great stocking stuffer.

This Toronto Star article claims that bell is on the verge of offering an unlimited wireless data plan for $7/month. It seems that they may be a little scared of the Apple iPhone which Rogers will no doubt carry. Details report that the offer will be available to users of the new HTC Touch phone which is much like the iPhone. They are both touch screen, both have virtual keyboards, but the HTC Touch lacks WI-FI.

I currently sport the Nokia n73 and I love it to death. It works both as a cell phone and a camera. But the new and improved Nokia N82 is my new favorite! It sports a 5mp Carl Ziess camera, WI-FI, microSD expansion and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Add in Nokia’s great quality in phones and this is phone is a must!!
