Finally, for all those in the US that don’t have DirecTV or cannot get DirecTV have an option to watch NFL games on Sunday. Sony Playstation has just announced that they will provide the NFL Sunday Ticket on the Playstation Network for streaming through the internet. For a mere $350 ($84.99/mo x 4) Playstation owners can download an app and watch with all the features available to the TV customers. However, Sunday Ticket To-Go is not offered with this, so if you want to watch on your computer or mobile device, you will need to be a DirecTV customer. This is only available to US customers.
Today I came across one of the best mixtapes to grace us so far in 2011. What better way to enjoy a beautiful sunny day here in NYC than with the smooth sounds of jazz mixed with a little Wu-Tang? From DJ 2-Tone Jones comes SHAOLIN JAZZ – The 37th Chamber, a mix of old classic jazz with the classic hits from Shaolin’s finest.
The thirteen track tape features classic Wu-Tang vocals, from songs such as “C.R.E.A.M.”, “The Pit”, (Ol’ Dirty Bastard‘s) “Got Your Money”, (Method Man and Redman‘s) “How High” to name but a few, over reworked timeless Jazz pieces, by the the like of Lonnis Liston Smith, Bobbi Humphery, Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock. DJ Girl Talk takes Rolling Stone Magazine on a tour of his computer. Although we don’t get to see all the porn he has stashed away on it, he does show us how he goes about mixing all that music. Greg Gillis, a.k.a. Girl Talk, explains how he mixes the samples and all the prep work that is involved in getting ready for a show. It’s very interesting to see how complex the actual sampling can get. For those who love Girl Talk, I highly recommend viewing this video.
Great new commercial from the people at Deutsch LA for the new Volkswagon Passat. The ‘Darth Vader’ in training is running around the house testing his powers out only to find he still has some work to do, but is able to get a boost of confidence from the all new 2012 VW Passat. Great spot! See VW’s new Beetle teaser commercial after the jump.
